Round Rock, TX to host 2009 National Tournament

USSSA is pleased to announce that Round Rock, TX will be hosting the 2009 National Championship Tournament.

"We are proud to be working with USSSA to bring the National Soccer tournament to The Sports Capital of Texas.  The City of Round Rock is looking forward to hosting soccer players from all over the United States to enjoy all the fun and excitement we have to offer.  We guarantee a good time will be had by all," said Nancy Yawn, Director of the Round Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau.

"We are anticipating this competition will bring an influx of athletes to the area, and are proud to show off Round Rock's prestigious hotels, restaurants and of course our fabulous soccer complex at Old Settler's Park," Yawn said.

The decision was made to move the tournament from the previous location of Las Vegas, NV. "We believe by centrally locating the tournament we are able to include more teams this year," Craig Scriven, National Director said. "Round Rock is a great location and has all the aspects that we look for when holding a tournament of this size."

Tournament registration will begin May 1, and all qualifiers will be contacted shortly. The tournament will be held December 4-6, with the following divisions; youth, adult and 7v7.
